ABOUT

Joanne graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a 1st class Hons Degree. From there she went on to complete an MA in Jewellery at the Royal College of Art in London. Following this a ‘Setting Up Award’ from the Crafts Council enabled Joanne to begin her studio from which she creates batch production ranges alongside one-off pieces.

Using mainly silver and oxidised silver Joanne uses unit construction methods such as chain mail to assemble necklaces, bracelets and rings, giving forms which are three dimensional, light, flexible, tactile and durable. Movement and comfort are important elements in the wearing of these uniquely handmade pieces.
